Step 1

Choose your college network and create a profile.

You can change your college network at any time. To create a profile, just upload a photo and fill out the profile information.

Step 2

Take the roommate survey and review your matches.

We ask you a series of questions and then ask how you’d like your roommate to respond. After you complete the roommate survey, you can immediately review all same-sex users ranked by compatibility percentage. You can also communicate with opposite-sex users but don’t get matched to them.

Step 3

Get to know your matches, pick a roommate, and submit a mutual roommate request to your school.

NOTE: Not all schools allow you to request a roommate.

Once you review your matches, you can send them a message on URoomSurf, or look them up on Facebook. In your profile you can link to your Facebook account. After establishing a desire to room together, both parties must submit a roommate request through the school’s established method(s). You can usually find this out by looking on your school’s website or calling them directly.

  We hope to make the registration process more efficient by letting users register and login to URoomSurf.com with their Facebook account in the click of a button.
• Video Chat: Face-to-Face Introductions!
  URoomSurf will be the first roommate application allowing students to meet face-to-face through video chat. This will enable students to meet potential roommates & future classmates face to face before even stepping foot on campus!
• Online Store
  We will have an Amazon shop, so that after students find a roommate, they will be able to purchase dorm room essentials and accessories to make their dorm feel like home!
• Campus Advantage – Student Discount Card
  We plan to eventually provide a student discount card for students at each university, where local restaurants and vendors provide student discounts when our Campus Advantage card is presented. This program is currently under development and we are hiring campus reps! Learn more here!
